A Special Note for the Magnolia Theater Organ Society:

From all of us who dedicate and volunteer our time at the Temple, we would like to add a special note for the members of the Magnolia Chapter of the Theater Organ Society. The majority of people in Meridian DO NOT KNOW their weekly hard work and dedication have kept the Temple’s rare Robert Morton Pipe Organ (with 778 pipes) playing for decades free of charge to the theater for the public to enjoy. Please support their cause so the organ can continue to operate for future generations to come. It is a very rare gem that has graced Meridian for almost a century. With much gratitude and appreciation we say to MCTOS, Thank you!

“I have the freedom of an independent producer without many of the budget headaches,” he says. “I get to choose topics for which I have a passion.” Max has been a longtime fan of the show since Alabama Public Radio started airing it six years ago.

“The soil of the Black Belt of Alabama and Mississippi is fertile area and so are the airwaves for its authentic music and musicians,” according to Shores.

Volunteers are vital to the success of The Temple Theater and make up all of the theater’s staff. They are the face and voice of The Temple and make every experience here enjoyable and memorable for our patrons. Without our volunteers, the shows and events we strive to bring to the city of Meridian would not be possible.

Volunteers are needed now to run concessions, work at the ticket booth, keep the theater clean and presentable before and after shows, as well as many more day to to day tasks that are part of keeping the theater running smoothly.

We would like to hear from anyone who has a strong interest and the time to serve as a volunteer at The Temple. For more information, contact us at 601.693.5353

Without the generous donations of time and true love for the theater that our volunteers bring, The Temple Theater would not exist. Thank you to all of you who have volunteered for us in the past and welcome to all of you who may join us in the future.
